“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a library in possession of devoted patrons, must be in want of a grand celebration.” Thus, we welcome you to join us in marking the 250th birthday of the beloved Jane Austen with a year-long series of events! Each month, we’ll dive into Austen’s world with activities inspired by her timeless works and influence. We kick off in January with a book club discussion of Emma, followed by a February screening of a modern classic we can't name because our licensing won't let us, but it rhymes with "Blueless," which reimagines the classic novel. In March, we’ll gather for a themed craft project to bring her world to life. Keep an eye out on the calendar for more future events.
