A welcome to Lauriston Castle on International Day of Persons with Disabilities (Thursday 3 December)
Free for visitors and their carers.
Relaxed costumed tour of Lauriston Castle or a step - free digital presentation.
There are two options for you to choose from on the day:
1. A relaxed costumed tour – this includes steps, and you will be invited to move at your own pace. There will seating available in all the principal upstairs room.
2. Digital step-free tour – enjoy the original Maids’ Hall and relax whilst watching a digital tour of the castle. The maid’s hall has wheelchair access.
Both groups will have an opportunity to examine some objects from the Edwardian era and to meet the “residents and staff” of the castle from the Edwardian era. Please note that we have no accessible toilet in the Castle although there is an accessible toilet in the grounds, a short distance from the Castle.
