Base of Support, Center of Gravity, Range of Motion – this is Leslie’s signature hierarchy of key considerations when consciously constructing a yoga pose. If the base is not stable, there is no foundation upon which to build. If there is no organized center of mass, there is no balance or efficient relationship to gravity. If the prior two factors are not integrated, the body’s natural range of motion will be compromised, and reaching for the maximum expression of a pose can become unsafe.
In this session, we will look through the lens of BOS-COG-ROM as we dive deeply into any questions you may have about your practice. In doing so, we will learn how to prioritize specific adaptations and adjustments to better suit your individual needs.
This session is open to all levels, and is especially appropriate for you if you are recovering from or trying to prevent injury in your practice and daily life.
NOTE: This class breaks for lunch between 11 - 1230PM. (actual curriculum time: 5hrs)
