A Walk With Shun 2021

In 2015, I loss my son to suicide. This silent killer changed me forever. Every year my Family, Friends and Wrenched Hearts Family (peer support group for employees that have loss children) at Delta Air Lines have been a major support for me.

My son Shun would often ask me to walk up Stone Mountain with him. I've often tried to walk the mountain with no success. 3 weeks before Shun passed, not knowing I was being granted the last opportunity to walk with Shun. Shun asked me to join him and I agreed, we grabbed our sneakers and headed to Stone Mountain. I tried, I tried harder than I ever tried before, but I didn’t make it up the mountain. I told Shun to go ahead and I’ll wait below. Shun ran up the mountain and I walked down. I remember taking a picture and posting my defeat to Stone Mountain on Face Book. Days later Shun died. I vowed then, to complete the walk-up Stone Mountain for him and whoever is suffering from this type of Hurt and Pain and I have every year since My Sons transition. Join us this year November 16, 2021 as we rally to fight against this silent killer and help us bring awareness to suicide!
