ECSTATIC DANCE TORONTO is very excited and honoured to be producing the second Ecstatic Chant ? in Toronto on ✨ Saturday June 14 ✨ with our local voice alchemist Chris Assaad ?.We will come together in community, in circle and in a beautiful open space with intention.
We will open our voices, we will sing musical affirmations, we will chant soul hymns, we will make sound intuitively, we will tap into the medicine of voice and use our voices playfully and powerfully to amplify ecstatic states and soulful vibrations.
This will be a safe and sacred space to explore, to play, to connect and to use your voice.
The experience will be guided by Chris Assaad and a beautiful curation of guest musicians and voice artists.
Come discover the pure bliss of freeing your voice, singing, chanting and making sound together in community.
All are welcome. No experience necessary.
This will be a co-creation with you and with all who choose to join us.
This is the second of what we intend will be a recurring event.
This is NOT:
• A vocal technique workshop
• A Kirtan offering
• A Choir practice
• A big purge fest

As a singer, songwriter, word smith and music medicine artist, Chris has been dedicated to his own artistry for the last 20 years which has included touring worldwide sharing his music at venues, big and small, as well as festival stages, writing, recording and releasing several studio albums, publishing hundreds of blogs on the creative process on platforms such as The Daily Love and Positively Positive.
Most recently, Chris has been hosting regular NOURISHED Music Medicine journeys on Insight Timer and in select cities, inviting community to gather and use our voices together, with an intention of prayer and play, singing simple chants and melodies to amplify the vibrations of peace, love, inspiration and oneness.
??? Chris has a deep passion for supporting others in liberating their voice, amplifying their authentic self-expression and tapping into their infinite creative potential. As a facilitator and guide, he holds powerful sacred space for healing and transformation, drawing upon years of experience, deep empathic attunement and intuitive guidance.
Chris has developed his own Voice Alchemy method to help others access and activate the healing power of their voice, weaving practical tools, ancient wisdom and multiple healing modalities to bring forth the full potency of unique soul song and expression. He has worked with hundreds of people, both in one on one and group settings.
Chris is also the creator of Follow Your Art, a lovingly-crafted online program and detailed map to support the creative journey.

We are Toronto’s leading weekly Ecstatic Dance community with nearly 1000 dances offered and counting founded by Julia Ray. Literally, tens of thousands have danced, healed and celebrated with us since our first dance in January 2006.
