🔊 Get ready for an evening of humor and entertainment featuring the renowned independent comedy show "A Very Pretentious Comedy Show" curated by ZOOFEST OFF JFL librarian rising star Raquel Maestre.
Originally from Murcia, Spain, Raquel Maestre has made a place for herself in Montreal comedy with her deadpan commentary on life as a transgender immigrant and the hilariousness of these times of impending doom.She has been featured on Zoofest-OFFJFL, Gigglefest, Ladyfest Montreal and a bunch of local queer festivals. She has performed in four languages in both Canada and Spain, and she has created some of the staple shows in the Montreal queer and independent comedy scene, A Very Pretentious Comedy Show and The Poly Mic.
Hosted by Sandy 🌹
Sandy, an artist from the JFL Discovery series, will host the evening with her sharp humor and charismatic presence. Sandy will make you laugh while guiding you through a night of unforgettable performances.
Max Higgins 🎤
Max Higgins, voted best stand-up comedian in Vermont in 2023, will bring his unique humor and storytelling talent for a memorable performance.
