Two-day ISTDP North masterclass with Josette ten Have-de Labije on turning clinical red lights into green lights.Manchester, 23-24 Apr 2027.
About this Event

Join ISTDP North in Manchester for a two-day masterclass with Josette ten Have-de Labije, PsyD. This will be the fourth ISTDP North event in which Josette comes to Manchester, offering another opportunity to learn directly from one of the leading international teachers, supervisors and authors in ISTDP.

The focus of this masterclass will be on learning to work through the roadmap to the unconscious and on using ISTDP technique to help turn “red lights” into “green lights” in the clinical process.

Across the two days, the programme will centre on:

  • Two live supervision sessions with colleagues presenting clinical material
  • A master video presentation by Josette
  • Role plays and active participation, with close attention to applying ISTDP technique
  • Observation, discussion and reflection to consolidate learning

Next to theoretical introductions, video vignettes will illustrate theory and technique. Participants wishing to present clinical material for supervision should bring audio-visually recorded material on USB stick or DVD of the section they wish to be supervised on. Please subtitle material where possible; otherwise, please bring a printed transcript.

What to expect

Active participation, supervision, observation and roleplay
Theoretical introductions linked to clinical technique
Video vignettes illustrating theory and technique
Group discussion and reflective learning
Optional supervision of participants’ clinical material
