About this Event

Sylvia, The Wood Nymph is the true story of a woman who struggled with multiple personality disorder (now known as dissociative identity disorder) due to severe maltreatment in early childhood. The documentary takes an intimate look at her journey toward healing through the eyes of her compas- sionate psychiatrist, Dr. Timothy D. Brewerton; her husband; and her closest friend. This remarkable project contains video testimony, personal writings, and rare-to-see footage of altered personalities, recorded with Sylvia’s consent.

Following the screening, we’ll be hosting an engaging Q&A with the film's co-directors, Tim Farrell and Robyn Hussa Farrell, psychiatrist and executive producer Dr. Timothy D. Brewerton, and psychiatrist and CEO of Galen Hope, Dr. Wendy Oliver-Pyatt.
