The Great American Songbook is the loosely defined canon of significant 20th-century American jazz standards popular songs and show tunes. The crooning style developed out of singers who performed with big bands and reached its height in the 1940s to late 60s. Crooning is epitomised by jazz vocalists like Bing Crosby Frank Sinatra Dean Martin and Perry Como.
This performance pays tributes to the giants of the past and those of us who stand on their shoulders today.
