Hear David K sing Roy’s multi-octave range beautifully and with power. Excellent musicianship. Enjoy hits from the 50s & 60s be bop and early rock to Roy’s dramatic ballads, hits that were recorded by others like Blue Bayou, which Linda Ronstadt recorded, Pretty Woman from the movie, all the way up to the Traveling Wilburys tunes of the 80s. David K shares historic tidbits of Roy Orbison's tragic but legendary career. Enjoy a heartfelt museum like tour of memories. This show has been wowing audiences all over the Midwest, and as well in Arkansas and Florida!

“After long rehearsals, I’d wake at night singing, ‘Pretty Woman” and I’d say, ‘Stop it, Roy!’ Next night, ‘Crying...’ again I’d yell at Roy. One night, I woke singing a song I’d been dreaming and said, ‘Stop it Roy!’ - then... Wait! That’s not a Roy song, what is that? I sat up, wrote down the lyrics, videoed myself playing it and fell back asleep. Later, I woke having forgotten, saw lyrics, guitar, phone... Confused, watching the video I realized 1 of 2 things. I’d either written it in my dream, or Roy sent it to me!
I’m blessed to tribute a legacy like Roy’s. We’re making an album, 5 of Roy’s hits and 8 dream songs, the 1st, ‘Lonely Blue Dreams,’ mentioned above, is the album title. We hope to keep Roy’s music alive, and share a couple dreamed songs. Maybe songs were sent by Roy. If not they’re truly inspired by him.”

David K has recorded with Joey Molland of Badfinger (Beatles Apple Records), and with Phil Solem of The Rembrandts (Friends TV show theme), has performed with Dr. Fink of Prince & The Revolution and Jeff Cook of Alabama. He has submitted original songs to Edgar Winter, Toni Braxton, Spencer David and Jon Anderson of YES. David also performs as Buddy Holly. David is originally from Eden Prairie, MN but has lived in L.A., New York, Houston and Nashville pursuing his music endeavors.
