A Tribute to Dylan & Cash celebrates the legacy of two American giants. Created by Award-winning songwriter Rod Abernethy, recipient of American Songwriter’s Bob Dylan Song Award and David Burney, frontman of the acclaimed touring band Johnny Folsom 4. Together, they bring the lyrical genius and unmistakable voices of Dylan & Cash to life with unforgettable performances, rich storytelling and visuals. It’s a moving journey through the music, history, and the enduring friendship of Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash.
Rod Abernethy is an authentic southern folk troubadour, master acoustic guitarist, and award winning songwriter and composer for film, TV and video games. Rod’s awards include the Overall Grand Prize Winner of the 2021 International Acoustic Music Awards. His album Normal Isn’t Normal Anymore received rave reviews from No Depression, American Highways and The Wall Street Journal and was in the Top 20 CD of 2021 at No. 11 on the Folk International Folk Charts.
David Burney’s lilting southern baritone delivers Cash’s classic songs so well you may well wonder from time to time if Johnny himself is in the building. David has been the lead singer for Johnny Folsom 4 for over a decade and while nobody really sounds like Johnny Cash, nobody sounds more like Johnny Cash than Johnny Folsom 4.
