What started in a dressing room is now hitting the stage! Get ready to groove! Get ready to get funky! Get ready for a Touch of Funk!
Don't miss performers Mollie Peery, Jack Sundstrom, Zackary Borrego, Rose Mcreynolds, Mara Currens, Jack Quinones, Samantha Mayer, Spencer Peterson & Kaylee Hayden as they come together to raise funds for Breast Cancer research through a night of music.
Doors at 6pm with a one hour happy hour until our show begins at 7pm. Dorothy remains open after the show until 11pm.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
Dorothy is 21+ and requires physical ID for all to enter. Dorothy is also ADA accessible with elevator access on Campbell Ave. If you are a guest who requires elevator access, please wait by the black door on Campbell Ave with our logo in the window and call our staff to assist: 773-770-3799

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS
Mollie Peery (Producer/ Vocalist): Mollie is an artist based in Chicago, IL. She has worked both in front of the stage and screen and behind. In 2017, Mollie produced/directed her first benefit concert raising money for Kabuki Syndrome. She has a deep passion for using her talents and the talents of others to raise money about things she is passionate about. Breast cancer (cancer in general) has had a big impact in her family so she hopes that this cabaret will bring joy to everyone and help raise money to help further research for it. Many thanks to Sam and Kaylee for being the roots of this project.
Jack Sundstrom (Bass):Jack Sundstrom is a bassist, composer, and educator from Chicago. Sundstrom began his musical journey at the age of 4 studying traditional Celtic music with the great Noel Rice. He has since found a love for performing all kinds of creative and improvisational music. His style blends aspects of traditions from all over the world to create a fresh unique sound world. Sundstrom's wide ranging musical interests have enabled him to perform with a huge range of musical artists including Jim Peterik, Geof Bradfield, Tatum Langley, Glen Hansard, Kellin Hanas, Paul Wertico, Janelle Finton, Isaiah Spencer, Vincent Davis, Ernest Dawkins, Shelby Conditt, Karli Bunn, and many others. Sundstrom is a regular member of the Shout Section Big Band, the Academy of Irish Music, and regularly collaborates with the Marquette Park Composers Workshop.
Zackary Borrego (Pianist): Zackary Borrego is a student at Moody Bible Institute, completing his final semester in the Bachelors of Music program. While his degree is in classical piano, his professional endeavors have lead him to the classical vocal world. Currently, Zackary performs around the Chicagoland area, singing at churches, teaching lessons, and is a proud member of the Music of the Baroque chorus in Chicago.
Rose Mcreynolds (Vocalist): Rose is thrilled to be performing alongside such incredibly talented artists and friends for a great cause. Previous credits include Ariel Moore in Footloose (Big Noise Theatre), Heather Duke in Heathers (Point2Productions), and Marty Maraschino in Grease (Beverly Theatre Guild). IG: rosecmcreynolds
Mara Currens (Vocalist): Select credits include Company (Amy), Spring Awakening (Martha), She Kills Monsters (Agnes), and The Curious Incident...Nighttime (Siobhan). In addition to playing pretend, Mara loves crossword puzzles, tending to her garden, and keeping her Beli streak alive. She is represented by Stewart Talent. Much love! Instagram: @maracurrens
Jack Quinones (Guitar):Guitarist from Chicago, currently living in Nashville to pursue a certification in luthiery.
Samantha Mayer (Associate Producer/Vocalist):Samantha is a recent graduate from the University of Iowa where she received degrees in English and Musical Theater. Sam is a teaching artist with Skyline Children’s Theatre and Cultural Arts Supervisor with Expressions Performing Arts. Select credits include the Bus Driver in Don’t Let…Bus! (Big Noise), Alexi Darling/Featured Ensemble in Rent (Highland Park Players), Ethel in Footloose (Big Noise), Bea Bottom in Something Rotten (University of Iowa), and serving as a writer and performer in Impractical Magic at the Laugh Out Loud Theater in Chicago. Spencer Peterson(Percussion):Spencer is a drummer and percussionist from Glenview, Illinois. He received his degree in Jazz Studies from Loyola University Chicago, and has been an active member of the Chicago music scene ever since. He has played throughout the city and suburbs in numerous jazz ensembles and pit orchestras, and well as with the Pack Drumline made famous on America’s Got Talent, and his indie folk/rock band Lily & The Vow. He currently serves as the drumline instructor at Glenbrook South High School, and is continuing his education this fall at Northeastern Illinois University to become a licensed music teacher.
Kaylee Hayden (Music Director):Kaylee (she/her) graduated from Elon University in 2023 with a BFA in Music Theatre and a minor in Music Production. Most recently, she played Ilse in Spring Awakening with Point2Point and can be seen in their upcoming production of Next to Normal. Previous roles include: Rusty in Footloose (Big Noise Prod.), Mopsa in Head Over Heels (Elon University), Judy Garland in The Polar Express (Colorado Railroad Museum). Music direction credits include: She Loves Me (Elon University), The Bridges of Madison County (Elon University). When not on stage, Kaylee directs young performers with Skyline Children’s Theater.
