This 1966 documentary by Lutheran Film Associates tells the story of one all-white Lutheran church in Omaha, Nebraska as they are challenged to connect with their black Lutheran neighbors at the height of the Civil Rights Movement. Their story -- their fear, uncertainty, and faith -- can help us understand the church's responsibility to respond to racial injustice in 2021.
This discussion hosted by sister congregations, Lord of Glory Grayslake & Bethel Gurnee, is open to the community. Child care may be available - please let us know if you are interested.
