? SOCIAL SATURDAY is a monthly artist showcase hosted and curated by published author/poet, J.R. Rice (@imjrice), and the creative production of @athingtotalkabout. This amazing event takes place every FIRST Saturday. After 11 amazing shows, you are invited to celebrate our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!

August’s Line-Up:
- Donté Clark (@donblak) is an actor, stage and film director, scriptwriter, lyricist and Public Defense attorney consultant. His recent collection of poetry Close Caskets was released Feb 2021, available now on Amazon. All of Donté’s work as an artist and community member is dedicated to shifting the narrative(s) of black/aborigine peoples history; while challenging educators and courtroom officials to abolish all racist policies.
- Bianca Brown (@bbindisthang) is a singer, songwriter, arranger, composer, producer, self taught pianist, beat boxer, and voice impressionist. In 2022, she released her self-produced her first project, a 5 track EP titled "Is Anybody Home?" BB has performed at various venues around the Bay Area, including Oakland City Hall, The Fox Theater, and at the top of Salesforce Tower. She is currently doing shows with community based organizations around the Bay Area, private events, and SoFar Sounds. WWW.BBMUSICBABY.COM
- Adam Hudson (@adam.hudson15) is an African-American writer/journalist, commentator, musician, Pan-Africanist, and co-host of the podcast Real Sankara Hours. For six years, he played drums for the now-disbanded band Sunata. As a solo artist, he plays the djembe and fuses traditional African rhythms with other forms of music of the African diaspora to show pride in his diasporic African heritage. He has played numerous shows and open mics throughout Northern California both in his band and as a soloist.
