About this Event
Explore how Shakespeare’s iconic characters speak to us across centuries because of their rich, internal landscapes. These characters were written with a complexity and subtlety that is beyond even our finest playwrights and screenwriters today.
Learn what was happening in the life and times of Shakespeare that inspired the creation of the great characters and their soliloquies.
Understand why and how Shakespeare’s singular, unique use of our language fills theaters over generations and centuries.
Try your hand at speaking the great speeches under the guidance of the Instructor.
Participants walk away with a deeper knowledge and appreciation of Shakespeare and his work, and why his plays are fundamental to understanding today’s human being.
Instructor: Dan Decker
