We are thrilled to invite you to “A Taste of New Orleans,” a special dinner event hosted by our very own Executive Chef Jacob Greene. Join us Friday, June 28th, as we celebrate the rich flavors and vibrant spirit of Louisiana Cajun and Creole cooking.
Chef Jacob Greene is excited to share his favorite dishes from his time living in New Orleans, offering a delectable 3-course meal that captures the essence of this unique culinary tradition. Here’s a taste of what’s on the menu:
🍴 Starters (includes both):
- Fried Oyster and Green Tomato: Fresh Louisiana oysters fried with cornmeal, served on a fried green tomato and smothered in a brown butter crawfish sauce.
- Chicken and Sausage Gumbo: A rich blend of savory chicken stock and dark roux with spices, diced chicken thighs, andouille sausage, enhanced by Crystal Hot Sauce.
🍴 Entrees (includes both):
- Catfish Pontchartrain: Blackened catfish topped with a spicy creamy shrimp sauce, accompanied by warm corn succotash and collard greens cooked with smoked turkey necks.
- Red Beans and Rice with Andouille Sausage: Freshly simmered red beans with peppers, ham hocks, bell peppers, and onions, served over Jasmine rice with a spicy smoked andouille sausage link.
🍴 Desserts (includes both):
- Joey K’s Bread Pudding: Made with po’boy bread, farm-fresh eggs, cream, and rum-soaked raisins, ready to make you dance the zydeco two-step.
