Curious about Ethiopian food in Tokyo? Join Tokyo Expat Social Club for a relaxed dinner at Queen Sheba in Nakameguro, where we’ll get to know one another over a shared Ethiopian meal.
If you’ve never tried Ethiopian cuisine, this is a chance to discover it with other people. Injera, a soft, slightly tangy flatbread, is traditionally served alongside a variety of stews and dishes. You don’t need to know what to order or bring someone to share with; we’ll arrange the set dinner for the group.
The idea is simple: interesting food, a smaller gathering and enough time to actually talk. Share your first impressions, compare favourite dishes and hear a little about the people around the table.
Most TESC attendees come alone, including many people joining for the first time. You don’t need to know anyone beforehand or have attended another event.
Expats, Japanese locals, internationals and anyone interested in making friends in Tokyo are welcome. Come for the food, the conversation or the chance to try something different on a November evening.
