1915 Buenos Aires, a religious Jewish woman dreams of dancing tango, a passion her world forbids.
She dares to enter a brothel, and meets Rivka, a prostitute, who reveals to her the soul of tango.
In their unlikely bond they find freedom that changes them forever.

ABOUT LEA KALISCH:
Lea Kalisch makes multi-cultural, multilingual art that brings together music, dance, drama and comedy on stage and screen. Her storytelling is rooted and inspired by her Jewish identity. Un Tango Para Rachel is her debut as a writer and film director. She has created numerous award-winning message-driven music videos. Her work focuses on women, sexuality, and dreams. She is a Jerome Hill Artist Fellow 23-25 and the 2020 recipient of the Omanut-Zwillenberg prize. Lea Kalisch is a Swiss-born director, producer, actress and singer, now based in Vienna.
