In this talk, Historian Lorraine Murray will look at two important patrons, Catherine Cranston and William Davidson, who supported Charles Rennie Mackintosh during his career and how their generous commissions allowed him to showcase his work with artistic freedom.
Lorraine Murray is an Art and Architectural Historian, Independent Researcher, and Professional Archivist from Glasgow who has 20 years experience of working in heritage. She has contributed to several book chapters with a focus on women's history, writes a blog, and regularly delivers local history talks on a variety of topics.
