Join Scenic Jacksonville for Scenic Visions: Mandarin, the first event in a two-part series exploring the character, history, and future of one of Jacksonville’s most distinctive communities.

Participants will meet at the Mandarin Museum before boarding sprinter vans for a guided tour through Mandarin’s scenic roads, historic landscapes, and commercial corridors. Along the way, we’ll explore how the community’s history, tree canopy, development patterns, and commercial growth have shaped the Mandarin we know today.

The route will travel along Mandarin Road, Orange Picker Road, Brady Road, and San Jose Boulevard, highlighting the contrast between Mandarin’s historic, tree-lined corridors and its bustling commercial center. From the live oaks that define its scenic character to the roads and businesses that serve a growing community, the tour will invite participants to consider what makes a place distinctive and how thoughtful planning, design, and stewardship can help protect that identity as communities evolve.
