Songs, madrigals and close harmony ballads for a summer’s evening. Join Exeter Chamber Choir for music of love and longing, night and dreams, swans and owls, and several moons (blue, river and paper)!Music to include English madrigals: Fair Phyllis, My Bonny Lass, Now is the month of Maying, Draw on Sweet Night, The Silver Swan and Lay a Garland. European madrigals by Monteverdi, Arcadelt, Vazquez and Passereau. Songs by Brahms, Cornelius and Vaughan Williams (Three Shakespeare Songs). Close harmony arrangements of Moon River, It’s only a Paper Moon, Blue Moon and more… !
The programme will also feature talented young cellist, Eugene Lee.
Interval refreshments will be available.
