A SUMMER EVENING OF CLASSICAL MUSIC

Anila Aliu has built a distinguished international career spanning Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Renowned for her depth of interpretation and commanding stage presence, she has been praised as “a young star in the world of classical music” and celebrated for bringing Kosovo’s musical voice to audiences worldwide.

A prizewinner at numerous international competitions, Anila has received top honours at the Golden Classical Music Awards in New York and London, the International Piano Competition Bangkok, and competitions across Europe. Most recently, she was awarded First Prize at the Concerto Competition at the Chicago College of Performing Arts, performing as soloist with the CCPA Orchestra. She has appeared with orchestras including the Kosovo Philharmonic, Balkan Mediterranean Orchestra, Xalapa Filarmonia Orchestra, and the Heartland Festival Orchestra.

Joe Alexander Shepherd is a pianist and composer from York, England. A graduate of the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, founded by Paul McCartney, he has contributed music to major campaigns, including UEFA’s World War I Truce film—featuring Bobby Charlton, Wayne Rooney, and Gareth Bale—as well as projects for English rugby.

His compositions have amassed over 50 million streams worldwide, and he has performed internationally across Europe, including at London’s iconic Roundhouse - one of the capital’s most celebrated stages. He was recently featured in Spotify’s “Classical Artists to Watch” playlist, marking his growing presence in the contemporary classical scene.
