Emmy Award winner Larry Wilmore ( The Daily Show, The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, The Bernie Mac Show ) has been a producer, actor, comedian, and writer for over 25 years. He currently hosts Larry Wilmore: Black on the Air on The Ringer Podcast Network, where he mixes humor with commentary on politics, entertainment, and culture. Wilmore is also the Executive Producer of Netflix’s Amend: The Fight for America and previously hosted the limited series WILMORE on Peacock during the 2020 election.
He is best known for The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore on Comedy Central, praised for its candid commentary on race. Off-screen, he co-created HBO’s Insecure, helped launch black-ish, and co-created the spin-off Grown-ish. His earlier credits include work on The Daily Show, In Living Color, The Bernie Mac Show (which earned him an Emmy), and more.
