Hi I’m Elaine Crocker, the writer, producer, director of Seen. I am honored and excited to partner with Kingdom 610 on this production. We hope you are informed and gain understanding of some of the issues that our youth contend with on a daily basis and how to help them. This is a real, honest, and impactful production. We address bullying, substance abuse and other forms of abuse, family trauma, self-hatred, suicide. But we will also address solutions and the proper ways to handle these situations.

I wrote this because as a child all the way through my young adult life I struggled with self-hatred, and thoughts of suicide and self-harm. I had endured trauma, sexual assault, bullying, and substance abuse. Without a strong support system, or positive outlets, I wasn’t seen, I struggled through juvenile delinquency and mental and emotional pain. It was through the support of so many, resources, therapy, mentorship, and the church, I was seen, and I found the strength to survive, heal and thrive.

So, what happens when young people feel invisible? —and what changes when someone finally sees them?
