Join us in the AGGV’s Spencer Mansion foyer on Saturday, November 23 from 10am-5pm for a performance by queer, non-binary performance artist, Holly Timpener: A Spoon Full of Sugar.Included with Gallery admission!
In this work, artist Holly Timpener uses time to transform their desire to please others. This performance exhibits an intimate journey of internal transformation and personal discovery, emphasizing the importance of self-acceptance and offering hope to others on a similar journey.

Curated by Dr. Toby Lawrence, AGGV Curator of Contemporary Art, in collaboration with Camosun College Visual Arts Department, A Spoon Full of Sugar is a durational performance that resists normative spoon-fed ideas and perceptions of gender.
*Due to the durational nature of this performance, visitors are welcome to enter and exit the Gallery throughout the day.
This performance will be preceded by an Artist Talk with Holly Timpener on Friday November 22 at Camosun College, Lansdowne Campus.
