🧡 THE SONGS OF LÊ UYÊN PHƯƠNG 🧡 THE VOICE OF LÊ UYÊN

🍃🌱🌿 AND THE NEXT GENERATIONS

🍃🌱🌿 For the first time, a group of young artists of the “9x generation”—Thien An Nguyen (guitar), Phuoc Tan Ngo (violin), San Trinh (guitar), and Khoi Ton (keyboard)—will join Lê Uyên to create a generational connection through the timeless songs of Lê Uyên Phương. They will showcase their talents through his sentimental and dynamic melodies, offering a heartfelt tribute to this legendary artist at Buôn Mê Cafe in Northern California on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, at 6:00 PM. This musical event aims to recreate a major milestone in Lê Uyên & Phương's professional career: their debut 19-day tour in Saigon before 1975. This was when they first began singing their original songs, and performing in an intimate café setting became one of their most cherished memories.

🌿 The passionate and youthful interpretation of Lê Uyên Phương’s wonderful melodies by this 9x band will dispel a long-held misconception among today's youth: that his music belongs only to the generation that lived through his era. In fact, most of his popular love songs were composed when he was under the age of 30. If love is ageless, then music about love should be equally timeless—both in its performance and its enjoyment.

🧡 Lê Uyên’s late husband, Lê Uyên Phương, passed away in 1999 and is regarded as one of the greatest songwriters of the pre-1975 era. He was also a talented guitarist who initially started his musical journey on the violin. His wife, Lê Uyên, remains one of Vietnamese music's greatest vocalists to this day. Together, they belong to an elite group of legendary Vietnamese artists. When performing duets, their joint stage name was Lê Uyên & Phương. For songwriting, his pen name was Lê Uyên Phương. He authored many great songs about love, humanity, and, most insightfully, the vast universe where all are inherently equal.
