A Special Blending Seminar with Catena

Join us for this educational and interactive seminar featuring Bodega Catena Zapata's expert educator, Ann Marie Sgroi, which will detail the history of one of Argentina's most acclaimed wineries and explore the individual components which make up their award-winning Alta Malbec. Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with a flight of the Alta Chardonnay and Alta Cabernet along with an in-depth overview of the Catena estate and the region of Mendoza. Afterwards, guests will each be provided with five samples, or components of the individual wines that make up the Catena Alta Malbec and Ann Marie will teach (through tasting!) us about how the different altitudes, soils, and microclimates affect each of the different components despite the fact they are all the same clone, vintage and vinified the same way. Then, we let you create a glass of your own Malbec blend and compare it to the Catena Alta Malbec! End the evening with a sip of the Malbec Argentino, an epic wine which tells the tale of the noble Malbec grape's journey like no other.
