This year marks the 125th anniversary of Miller Symphony Hall, aka Allentown Symphony Hall, aka the Lyric Theater. As part of the celebration, The Allentown Band presents a concert in the style of John Philip Sousa. The Sousa Band played four concerts at the hall between 1900 and 1920, and this program draws from those concerts.
With our guests Patricia Risley, mezzo soprano and Scott Shelsta, trombone. Featuring band percussionist Greg Mandelbaum, playing a period xylophone from the Kutztown University collection. Narration by John Philip Sousa IV. And much, much more!
