A Somatic and Emotional Release: Grief
Advertisement
Grief does not only come from death. It can arise from the loss of a relationship, an identity, a dream, a season of life, a sense of safety, or the version of ourselves we had to leave behind.
When grief is not given space to be acknowledged and expressed, it can remain held within the body—showing up as heaviness, numbness, tension, exhaustion, disconnection, difficulty moving forward, and even physical illness.
Emotional Release: Grief is a guided, body-centered experience designed to help you safely connect with the grief you may be carrying and allow it to move through breath, sound, movement, reflection, and emotional expression.
Throughout the experience, Taylor Cox will provide live music and a sound bath, creating a supportive atmosphere for reflection, release, and integration.
We will begin by creating safety within the nervous system through grounding meditation, journaling, somatic practices, and intentional breathwork. From there, you will be guided into a deeper emotional-release process using conscious connected breathing, vocalization, supportive touch, and movement.
This is not about forcing yourself to “get over” your grief. It is about honoring it, listening to what your grief has been trying to communicate, and giving your body permission to release what it may not have previously felt safe enough to express.
During this experience, you may:
Explore where grief is being held within your body
Connect with losses that have never been fully acknowledged
Release emotion through tears, breath, sound, and movement
Create a more compassionate relationship with grief
Make space for peace, acceptance, gratitude, and renewed connection
All emotions and expressions are welcome. You may cry, sigh, shake, move, make sound, remain still, or simply witness what arises. There is no correct way to grieve and no expected outcome.
You do not have to carry everything alone. This gathering offers a safe, intentional container where grief can be witnessed, honored, and released at your own pace.
Come as you are. Bring what you have been holding. Leave with a little more room to breathe.
Investment: $33.
We have everything you need at the studio. Just show up!
