A Sock Knitting Instruction Series: Socktober Part One: Foundations of the Foot

Knitting socks is considered one of the fundamental projects for a knitter, but many new knitters find the prospect challenging or daunting. This four-part program is meant to help those who already know how to knit but are unfamiliar with sock construction. Space and supplies are limited, so only register if you can attend. Each session covers a different subject, and you will be required to register for each one.
Part One, October 8th: We will briefly review the materials needed to make socks, and the techniques we will use in this program series. Then we will cast on for a cuff down sock. We will then cover some online resources available and how to place our project on barber cord. Homework: Repeat what was learned in the program. Take a tracing of your foot for later fitting.
