A Shrewdness of Apes: A Shrewdness of Apes (ASOA) is DC prog, an ambitious three-piece inspired by the likes of Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, Yes, and Alice in Chains. Their palate ranges from heavy effects-saturated riffs to intricate odd meter acoustic melodies. They formed in 2013, and since then have relocated from Richmond and have released 3 EPs and 2 full-length albums. They've been nominated as finalists in the Hard Rock categories four years in a row in the DC area Wammie awards. With A Shrewdness of Apes, expect the musically unexpected.

Peak Bloom: is a 5-piece alternative/punk outfit from the 51st state, Washington DC. Formed in 2019, the group blends punk, hardcore, emo, and alternative influences into powerful, energetic performances that capture the spirit of the DC DIY punk scene.
--
Outerloop is a post-punk band from Washington D.C., led by bilingual powerhouse vocalist Taisha Estrada and idiosyncratic electric guitarist Don Potter.
Known for their high-energy live shows and angular songwriting, Outerloop has been featured by the Washington Post and NPR Music, and has been selected for festivals and concert series such as Macrock, Fort Reno, Distrito Music Fest and the DC Library Punk Archive Rooftop series. Outerloop has performed benefit shows for causes such as immigrant rights, women’s rights, reproductive access and food security.
The band released an EP and an LP in 2022 and their song "Just Behave" won the 2023 Washington D.C. area music award (Wammie) for 'best hard rock/punk song'. A Slant 6 cover they recorded was featured on the tribute album, “Yesterday and Today: D.C. does Dischord” (2024).
Over the course of the last 8 months Outerloop has released three singles - ‘huracán’, ‘Electric Alibi’ and ‘Spectacle’ which will appear on their “EP 02” due out on June 21st. The band will follow the release with a weeklong joint tour accompanying XK Scenario through North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C. and Maryland, with a hometown EP release show at Comet Ping Pong in Washington DC on Saturday, June 29th. The lineup will be rounded out by Spring Silver.
