A Service of Lessons and Carols 24th December - Staff and Volunteers

Join us for one of two traditional Services including the singing of Christmas carols, readings, and anthems sung by the Abbey Choir.  Each Service will last about an hour.

Applying for tickets

Tickets for this year’s Services of Lessons and Carols at the Abbey are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited to a maximum of 2 tickets per person. These services do book up extremely quickly, if you are not successful in securing tickets on this occasion you can find out more about our other Christmas services here, most of which are not ticketed and all of which are truly special events.

Once you have submitted your details, you will receive a confirmation email containing your e-tickets. Please ensure that you have entered your email address correctly so that this reaches you.

In order for as many people as possible to be able attend to these Services, we ask that you only request tickets for either 23rd OR 24th December. The services are identical in content and reserving tickets to only one of these will mean that more people are able to attend.

On the day

Seating is unallocated; these Services have been designed so that everyone attending will have a chance to participate and enjoy them.

Doors will open one hour before each Service begins.

Security checks and bag searches are in operation, so please do allow extra time for this.

Access

The abbey is accessible to all forms of wheelchair. If you have any additional specific access requirements, please apply for your tickets online as above, and then contact us with your booking number and the nature of your access needs. The Abbey is equipped with a hearing induction loop system that covers the whole of the main building and we are able to provide large print Orders of Service.

The Service is suitable for all ages. Children aged 4 years and over will require tickets so do please include them in your application.
