Join us for an afternoon of slowing down, over a Soul Food and Mediterranean fusion dining experience.
Inspired by Solange’s *A Seat at the Table*, this gathering celebrates Black women, our experiences, and the ongoing journey of reconnecting with ourselves and the world around us.
Through guided conversations, journaling, tea, and interactive mindfulness activities, we’ll create space for reflection, laughs, and real connections. More than just a meal, this is an invitation to be present, share our stories, and nurture a sense of community around the table.
Your ticket includes:
- A uniquely curated menu bringing together the comforting flavors of soul food and the vibrant ingredients of Mediterranean cuisine.
- Sip on a selection of beverages and herbal teas provided by Rooted By Aaliyah
- A reflective journaling experience designed to encourage self-discovery, intentionality, and personal growth.
- Thoughtfully guided prompts and activities to help you move beyond small talk, share experiences, and build genuine connections with the women around you.
- Interactive moments throughout the experience that encourage you to slow down, be present, and connect with yourself and others.
- Guest are encouraged to donate lightly used winter clothing items (i.e. coats, jackets, hats, scarves, gloves, etc.). Items will be donated to Gyrls in the H.O.O.D, located in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood, is a leading Chicagoland nonprofit organization that provides young black girls with the reproductive resources, social support services, and special health education they need to make informed and responsible choices.
- Leave with a special gift from Rooted By Aaliyah and a goodie bag featuring products from Black Girl Vitamins.
Come as you are, there's room for you at this table.
