A Sistership Circle of Traditions, Memories & Meaningful Connection
About this Event

☃️ December Sistership Circle - Northern Virginia Women's Event (with donation*)

The most meaningful gifts aren't always found beneath the tree.
Sometimes they're found around the table.

Every family, culture, and community has its own traditions. Some are passed down through generations, while others are created along the way.

Perhaps it's a favorite holiday dish, a recipe from someone you love, a special meal shared around the table, or a tradition that brings people together year after year.

These seemingly simple rituals often carry our most treasured memories.

But life changes, and so do we.

Perhaps you're carrying forward a cherished family tradition. Perhaps you're navigating a transition and discovering that the holidays look different than they once did. Or perhaps you're longing to create new memories and traditions with the people who feel like family today.

There is room for all of these experiences in our Sistership Circle.

This December, we're gathering to honor the traditions that have nourished us, share the stories behind them, and create new memories with our Sistership community.

A Recipe for Connection

We invite each woman to choose a favorite recipe that reminds her of family, friendship, heritage, or a meaningful moment in her life.

It might be something your mother or grandmother made, a dish you've created with your children, a recipe from your chosen family, or a favorite tradition you've begun for yourself.

Bring 13 copies of your recipe, and together we'll create a keepsake collection of Sistership Recipes to take home.

As we gather, we'll have the opportunity to share the stories behind our recipes.

What makes yours special? Who does it remind you of? What memories, feelings, or traditions does it carry?

If you'd like to bring a small portion of your dish or another favorite treat to share, you're warmly welcome to do so. Bringing food is entirely optional.

The real nourishment comes from our time together.What to Expect

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Yule, Kwanzaa, another holiday, or simply the turning of the season, your traditions and experiences are welcome.
And if this season brings grief, change, or complicated emotions, there is room for those experiences, too.
Your Gift Is Your Admission — Women Helping WomenWe're continuing our partnership with Women Giving Back, a local nonprofit dedicated to Helping Women & Children in Crisis.
*Rather than exchanging gifts with one another or paying our usual $47–$52 registration fee, we're inviting each woman to bring a children's winter coat or an unopened package of diapers to support local women and families.
Your donation serves as your admission contribution to this special gathering.
In giving to another family, we're honoring the spirit of the season through compassion, connection, and community.
Admission: Complimentary with a children's winter coat or unopened package of diapers.
Advance registration is required, as our circles are intentionally intimate and seating is limited.
Please bring 12 copies of a favorite recipe. A dish or treat to share is optional.
This season, let's celebrate the gifts that truly last: the stories we share, the traditions we carry, the nourishment of breaking bread together, and the relationships we continue to create.
Gather. Nourish. Give.
Your registration includes the 90-minute facilitated Sistership Circle, seasonal treats, ritual materials and a small take-home gift.
Come alone or invite a woman you’d love to gather with. You may arrive as strangers, but the circle is created together.
Connection. Community. Sistership.
Sometimes the medicine is simply gathering.
