An evening to celebrate the history of Zamrock and one of the seminal makers of it: Emmanual Chanda aka. Jagari
About this Event

The music of W.I.T.C.H. was once found only in the western world as an obscure YouTube video. So when Gio Arlotta, Jacco Gardner, and Nic Mauskovic decided to trek to find its makers, the trip turned into a record deal and subsequent western renaissance of Zamrock, allowing Jagari to relive his superstardom. Come join us for the story behind the resurrection of one of the most famous Zambian rock bands and the history of how they came to be. Then enjoy listening to the man himself answer questions and talk about his experiences. We are incredibly lucky and humbled to be able to bring this opportunity to Jacksonville.

While the premise of this documentary (two white european men go to Africa to pluck a legend from obscurity) might be an eye roll, the man who really wins is the legendary Jagari. We fully acknowledge the white savior tones, but we do not villify the curiosity and passion for music that brought these people together.
