A Room Of Women - Art Exhibition Opening

We'd love you to join us for the opening night of A Room of Women, a new solo exhibition by West Auckland artist Laurette Looker.

Laurette is a self-taught painter working in acrylics - bold colour, strong outlines, figures that feel familiar without being quite placeable. The kind of work that stays with you after you've left the room.

A Room of Women was painted late at night, once the kids were in bed and the tea was on. A series of women set against dreamlike landscapes, still, unhurried, quietly present in a world that rarely stops.

This is her first solo show - We'd love to see you there.
