Dr. Ben Douglas, a beloved physician at Adventist Health Medical Office – Plaza and Adventist Health Hospice Services in Tillamook, will retire at the end of 2024 after a remarkable career spanning nearly 40 years, including 15 years of dedicated service to Adventist Health and the Tillamook community. Known for his compassionate approach, preventive care expertise and commitment to whole-person health, Dr. Douglas has earned the trust and admiration of countless patients and families. In addition to his medical practice at the Medical Office – Plaza, Dr. Douglas also dedicated much of his time to Adventist Health Tillamook’s Hospice services, demonstrating his deep compassion and unwavering commitment to the well-being of the community.To celebrate his contributions and commitment to care, Adventist Health Tillamook will host a retirement recognition event on Thursday, December 19, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Pacific Restaurant, located at 205 N. Main Avenue in Tillamook. Friends, colleagues, patients and family members are invited to join in honoring Dr. Douglas as he begins this next chapter of life. Refreshments will be provided.
Throughout his career, Dr. Douglas has empowered patients to make informed decisions about their health, ensuring they feel confident and supported in their care. Reflecting on his journey, Dr. Douglas shared, “It has been a privilege to serve this community, and while I will miss my patients and colleagues dearly, I look forward to enjoying retirement years with my wife and family.”
Dr. Douglas’s legacy of care, compassion and commitment to both his patients and the community will be felt long after his retirement, and Adventist Health Tillamook is honored to celebrate his extraordinary career.
