About this Event

Stop by the International Library of Young Authors for a special reading of Fresh Juice by Oakland based author and illustrator, Robert Liu Trujillo.

"When Art’s father can’t get over a cold, Art knows exactly what his daddy needs: some delicious sick-fighting juice! After looking through the fridge and cupboards, they discover they’re missing a key ingredient–ginger. But finding some ginger will take them downtown, to the farmers’ market, to the food co-op, to the West African grocery … to an unexpected encounter that brings everyone together, and results in a tasty celebration."

Books will be available for purchase. This event is free and open to the public. See you there!

About the Author:

Peace! My name is Rob. Robert. Roberto. Just not Bob (He, Him, Bruh). I’m an author and illustrator from Oakland California and I’ve been an artist most of my life. I started working professionally in the early 2000’s and have worked in murals, public art, arts education, merchandise making, illustration, and kid book publishing.

My most recent books are “Fresh Juice/ Jugo Fresco” which I wrote and illustrated, “Art of Rob” a 130 page book of sketches, drawings, etc, and “We Are Yoga/ Somos Yoga” written by Jill Guerra and illustrated by me. I am represented by Marietta Zacker at Gallt & Zacker.
