Join us for the final poetry reading of the summer's "A Garden of Verse" series as CT State Poet Laureate Margaret Gibson reads from "The Glass Globe," her new collection that blends poems of personal bereavement over the loss of her husband to Alzheimer’s with elegies for the earth during the ongoing global crisis wrought by climate change. Margaret will be joined by David K. Leff, Poet Laureate of Canton, CT, in a program of poems calling for environmental defense.
The reading begins at 6:00 in the beautiful walled gardens of Keeler Tavern, 152 Main Street, Ridgefield.
The evening is co-sponsored by Ridgefield Action Committee for the Environment (RACE), a volunteer organization that promotes awareness, education,
and action for the responsible use of energy, conservation of resources, and the reduction of waste.
Please bring a blanket or lawn chair. Masks optional (except indoors); 6' spacing required.
