Meeting point at the Sales & information Stall in Warstone Lane Cemetery 30 MINUTES before your Key Hill Catacomb tour commences. Ensure you arrive early to allow time for the walk from the booking in stall in Warstone Lane cemetery, a volunteer will walk with you to nearby Key Hill Catacombs.

A rare opportunity to view the interior catacombs Key Hill Cemetery for Birmingham Heritage Week.

Come and learn about the history of the catacombs in this non denominal cemetery. No human remains or coffins will be seen.

Time slots for Key Hill Cemetery interiors catacombs tours are: - 11am, 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm 3pm. Please book each place in attendee’s name. Please book in at the stall in WARSTONE LANE Cemetery half an hour before your Key Hill tour commences. A volunteer will walk with you from Warstone Lane Cemetery booking in stall to view the catacombs in neighbouring KET HILL cemetery

Key Hill Catacombs interior tours consist of several chambers and requires booking separately, in EACH attendee’s name.

Duration of each Cemetery Interior Catacomb Tours are about 30 to 45 minutes depending on Q & A.

If you wish to book tickets for neighbouring Warstone Lane Cemetery catacombs interior tour, please book this separately allowing time between each tour. Times slots for neighbouring Warstone Lane Cemetery are: -11am, 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm 3pm and includes one chamber and the story of printer John Baskerville.

Cemetery Tours differ from catacomb tours are the second Sunday of the month and duration is about one and half to two hours depending on Q & A.

Since the 1980’s some of our volunteers have been caring for the cemeteries - finding hidden footpaths and steps, uncovering sunken graves as well as researching the lives of those who rest in these two historic cemeteries.

Friends of Key Hill Cemetery & Warstone Lane Cemetery who are all volunteers including Admin, officially formed in 2004 and care for the cemeteries as well as raising funds for damaged and broken graves aiding the Friends restoration fund. This is achieved by membership, guided tours, donations and sales at open days and history fairs.
