A Rally for Social Housing

As the country faces sustained inflation, supply chain difficulties, a skills shortage and market downturn, delivering social housing is facing historic difficulties. At the same time, a new generation of social homes is needed more than ever to provide a secure roof over the heads of hundreds of thousands in acute housing need.

Labour Housing Group’s rally will not only make the case for an ambitious
programme of social housebuilding, but present some of the problems to these generational challenges. We look forward to hearing from speakers making the case for change, and those enacting it in local councils, national government, and the housing sector itself, in a quick-fire rally.

Speakers will include a Housing Minister (invited, TBC), new and not-so-new MPs from across the country, a tenants' representative, homeless organisations and housing organisations, and local councillors. It will be chaired by Councillor John Cotton (Labour Housing Group).

Come along to meet other people interested in housing and to hear from a Housing Minister in the new government.
