If you think of Beaujolais Nouveau when I say Beaujolais, please know that there is SO much more to this region than the sweet, spritzy wine that is often served at Thanksgiving. In fact, Beaujolais Nouveau was really just made to celebrate the harvest of grapes- grapes used to make more serious, age-worthy reds from the Gamay grape that are some our favorite Fall reds! Throughout the region of Beaujolais, there are 10 Crus or Villages that make the best examples of the grape due to their unique terroir and winemaking styles. Come taste through 4 of the 10 Crus of Beaujolais with Maegan and learn all about the soil, climate, aspect, history, and prolific winemakers of the Beaujolais region.
