A Portrait Painting Workshop

For this one-off portrait workshop, students can choose either to paint or draw from a clothed life model, who will hold a single pose for the duration of the event. We will paint from 10 – 1 pm, have an hour’s lunch break, then reconvene and paint again from 2 - 4 pm. This is a tutored class and there will be a little presentation about some technical issues like anatomy and perspective at the beginning. There might also be a little show and tell at the end.

With longer poses like this, students will have the chance to observe the model in great detail and produce a richly-shaded, volumetric rendering of the form. This is a chance to get tutored feedback on your figure drawing, whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced artist.

All high-quality materials are included in the price of the classes.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are also provided (Lunch however not included).
