A Place to Call Home Gala - Celebrating 25 Years of Impact
About this Event
For many, “home” has never meant safety. Those navigating poverty, violence and instability are often left without options, and without a place to land.
For over 25 years, ECRC has worked at the heart of Elmwood to change that.
Now we build what comes next.
This is more than housing.
This is about:
- Safety,
- Stability,
- Dignity,
- Belonging
- and a future filled with possibilities
Every dollar raised brings someone closer to stability, safety and a brighter future.
The Elmwood Hub Project will revitalize our existing location at 545 Watt Street into a vibrant, integrated community hub that will provide safe housing, wraparound supports, and opportunities for connection and healing for individuals and families across Winnipeg, particularly within the Elmwood community.
This transformative development will include 115 housing units designed to create a mixed income, inclusive and supportive community environment, including:
- 40% affordable housing units
- 60% market housing units
- 30 units specifically designated as social housing
- A dedicated floor for survivors of gender based violence and their children.
More than a housing development, the Elmwood Hub Project is designed to create pathways to healing, safety, and community connection for individuals and families across Winnipeg.
The Hub will also integrate community spaces, wellness supports, and wraparound services that promote long term stability, healing and belonging.
