With a new rarities album on the way, NYC psychedelic-punk-shoegaze legends A Place To Bury Strangers will be blowing minds at Sidney and Matilda this summer!
"A Place to Bury Strangers has announced a rarities compilation, titled Rare and Deadly. It’s out April 3 via Dedstrange. It features a decade’s worth of non-album tracks spanning a decade, recorded between 2015-2025. It features b-sides, demos, unreleased experiments and fragments, and the first track they’ve shared is “Everyone’s the Same.""Frontman Oliver Ackerman said about the new track, “I had a dream where a man led me to a brook, peaceful and calm. When he turned his head slightly, I saw the most evil smile imaginable. But when I looked directly at him, it was just the back of his head again. Beauty and horror coexisting in the same space. It felt like hell leaking into something serene. Maybe that’s reality sometimes. And maybe pretending otherwise is a kind of survival.” - Treble
