Celebrate one of Miami County’s most treasured landmarks, the Eldean Covered Bridge, and discover the history behind this important piece of our community.
Local historian and former Miami County Engineer Doug Christian will share the story of the bridge, including his firsthand experiences with its restoration. Guests can also step back in time with re-enactors dressed in 1860s attire and enjoy ice cream available for purchase from Susie’s Big Dipper.
Please bring a lawn chair and meet at Eldean Bridge, located at the corner of Eldean Rd & N County Rd 25A in Troy.
This special event is a collaboration between the Local History and Genealogy Center, the Miami County Historical and Genealogical Society, and the Troy Historical Society.
In case of inclement weather, we’ve scheduled a rain date for Tuesday, September 22.
