Wood Street Dogs are an acoustic 4-piece band with an authentic old-time country, bluegrass feel and a sound all of their own. Ukulele meets cello, guitar and pedal steel as they deliver a mixture of country covers and original songs. At times loose and laid-back, but always full of energy and emotion, they will bring you all the heartache and joy you could wish for. Come and laugh (and cry) along with Wood Street Dogs. Soapbox Preacher are an Americana, blues and country duo formed around vocalist Jen Acons and guitarist Chris Ridsdale, Soapbox Preacher have been performing in acoustic clubs and festivals across the Midlands for the last 10 years. Jen was (and sometimes still is) vocalist with blues band The King B’s and Chris was a founder member of the Americana band Dusty Knees. Together they created Soapbox Preacher and, with an emphasis on harmonies and fresh arrangements, play a mixture of their own original songs alongside covers by artists such as Tom Waits, The Civil Wars, and Tom Petty.
