We invite you to join us in a unique portrayal of the Christmas story. Come along as we embark on this unforgettable journey.
About this Event

It happened one unforgettable night over 2,000 years ago in the little town of Bethlehem. Joseph and Mary had trudged through rough terrain on donkey and on foot, making the 90 mile trip from Nazareth to Joseph’s hometown, Bethlehem. It was not the best time for them to travel, as Mary was close to delivering her first child, but since the Roman emperor, Caesar Augustus, had demanded that a census be taken, they had to go and they finally arrived at the small town.

Have you ever wondered what it must have been like on the night that Jesus was born? Come and see!

At registration each child will receive a treasure keepers bag. When they visit the merchants they will receive a treasure. The program begins with a visit from John The Baptist, a group of shepherds and a host of angels. You will then enter the Marketplace and watch the merchants work (carpenter, wool dying, basket making, bead shop, scribe, herb/spices and the bakery). A host of angels will lead you past 'The Inn' into the stable where Pastor Brad Hales will deliver the message of the birth of Christ. You will then be escorted into the Modern Day Christmas to sing carols and enjoy homemade cookies. There will be a petting zoo on site.

The program lasts approximately 90 minutes.

The event is free but we ask that each family bring a canned food/non perishable item to pay your share of the taxes, to be donated to the Culpeper Food Closet and the warming shelter.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your ticket time to get registered. We recommend that you let your children visit the petting zoo at the end of the program so you don't miss your registered time slot.

If anyone in your group will be using a wheelchair or walker please let us know so we can safely accommodate them.

A freewill offering basket will be at the exit - donations will go to the food closet as well.
