Step inside one of Philadelphia's most striking New Deal landmarks on this tour of the Robert N.C. Nix Sr. Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse. Built in 1937 under the Public Works Administration, the Nix Building pairs streamlined Art Deco design with monumental sculpture, relief panels, and richly detailed civic spaces that reflect the federal government's architectural ambitions during the Great Depression.
