A New Beginning

Carnegie Hall | New York, NY

Celebrating Asian & Pacific Islander composers & poetry through music.
About this Event

The first half features the National Concert Chorus performing a program titled, Rooted In Song, which celebrates the resilient and tenacious stories of Asian and Pacific Islander (API) communities through song and brought to life through artistic synchronized projection! The second half features a much-anticipated collaboration with renowned conductor/composer Tom Trenney leading the National Masterwork Chorus & Orchestra in an uplifting program. I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes is Adolphus Hailstork’s powerful dedication to the life of Undine Smith Moore, who many consider the “Dean of Black Women Composers.” Filled with optimism, this piece encourages us that we, too, will make a way.
